Pvp Skill Unlock Packs - Guild Wars Forums

If I purchase one of the $40 Prophecies skill unlock packs can I use it directly in Factions? If not, did I read somewhere that there would be Factions packs coming out later?

At the moment I believe you have to already own Prophecies to use the skills. But soon they're supposed to be offered without needing to buy the whole campaign. Or did they already change it......

well, the individual profession packs are still in, and I thought those were supposed to go away when they switched to the new packs. But I could be mistaken.

Both individual and the complete packs are available through the GW store as Prophecies skills but I'm interested in knowing if they can be used in Factions.

I think if you unlock the core skills, you can use'm in Factions.

But keep in mind, they're PvP unlocks.

After weeding through his posts I think his question boils down to "Can I access chapter 1 skills in Factions PvE" - Which is NO.

Even if you have Chapter 1 and have all chapter 1 skills unlocked, The Skill Trainers in Canthan towns will NOT offer them - You have to go to Tyria to buy them. (Core skills, like Yan said are avialable though)

What Sith and such are talking about is PvP side. Currently if you ONLY have Factions you cannot use Chapter 1 skills ANYWHERE (even if you have unlocked them in pvp - you cant use them in battle -they have little "lock" symbols on them). They are planning in the near future though, to convert the Skill Pack in the store into the "PvP Edition Pack" where it will allow you to buy AND USE Chapter 1 skills without NEEDING chapter 1 to use them (so you dont have to buy the game).
